Peristaltic filling machines work using positive displacement mimicking the biological process peristalsis. A rotor with rollers or ‘shoes’ rotates causing intermittent pressure to the tube surrounding it. When the tube is open, fluid flows into the system and when it is closed it is pushed towards the pump outlet and then into it’s container. This happens continuously until the desired volume has been pumped through.
