This is aimed at enhancing the filling capabilities for the new and existing customers and has helped satisfy the huge demand for sanitising products.

The Swindon-based shrink sleeve, labelling and filling specialists has invested in a turnkey solution for supply, project management and installation from Hereford-based Autopack.

A bespoke pumping and storage system has been installed allowing the use from bulk supply and smaller IBC batches to give the important flexibility.

To ensure commercial benefit, an eight-head filler which can fill from 50ml to 1000ml at up to 75 bottles per minute, was installed. Featuring quick release change parts along with PLC stored programmes, change overs are both quick and easy.

The Tedelta three-head rotary capper matches the filling output at 75 bottles capped per minute.

The magnetic clutch heads guarantee a calibrated torque each and every time. No tools are required to change the torque and pressure adjustments on the calibrated heads, just lift and turn the dial to the required setting. Easy change is a tool-less changeover. This is a constant theme throughout the machine designed to provide seamless and easy running.

The capper feeds a front and back labeller with an additional wraparound feature running into a rotary packing table to complete the line. Labour has been reduced and operatives’ comfort is soon to be enhanced as Blue Frog has ordered a bottle unscrambler to place these bottle on the line.

The Rotrak AAF unscrambler has no change parts and changes between bottles are automatic via a simple button push. This reduces downtime and increases flexibility coupled with no tooling costs and can be utilised for short runs.

Blue Frog now eagerly awaits a further six head capping machine which will be able to pick, place and torque atomisers and pumps at speeds of 100 per minute.
